Mommy and son date night!

A few weeks ago I was invited to attend my very first mother and son dance with my second to youngest son. He recently made 10 years old this past November. When he brought me the invitation I think I was more excited than he was. I went shopping for us some matching outfits, I took the day off of work to prepare. I made it a BIG DEAL, because it was a big deal. Often times, we forget that our children still need that individual time with us without our spouses or their siblings to interrupt. I am so grateful that he even still wants to share his time with me. Even though, he and his brothers can be a bit needy when it comes to me I still would not trade it for anything in the world. Needless to say, we had an amazing time at the dance, we received lots of compliments on our matching mother and son outfits. He opened the doors for me, got my refreshments, and gave me one good dance. After that, he left me to converse with moms I did not know, while he took off with his friends. It was a good time!
